We had just returned from our week long trip to Utah early Sunday morning. We have had a tradition of doing a fashion show where the kids model their school clothes for the past 3 years so the kids were begging to do it again. It was a little crazy but we did it. We rushed and unpacked, cleaned the house and made some brownies for dessert and invited the cousins and grammy and grampy, and Amanda and Chris over. It has become a fun tradition that the kids look forward to. Sawyer didn't get very many clothes since he is still in preschool and he's getting a lot of Carter's hand me downs. He was a good sport though, even though he only got to model two shirts. Maddie has a favorite pair of shorts and wore them with everything. She does have 2 other pairs of shorts but didn't want to change. Enjoy the show!
After the dust settled and the kids were ready for bed Chris and I sat down with both Maddie and Carter to talk to them about their feelings about going to a new school and starting a new school year. Chris then gave each them each a blessing. I was glad we took the time to make this day special and for them.
