Disneyland with the Wilsons

Last week we went to Disneyland and spent the day with my cousin Dave and his wife Ana and their children. They were visiting from Utah and it so happened that I had a mystery shop scheduled the same day they were going to be at Disneyland so we decided to spend the day together. Our kids really hit it off and Maddie just loved Emily Jo, who shares her same middle name (after their Great Grandma Jo). Thanks Wilson's for letting us hang out with you at Disneyland!

Sea World Weekend

A few weeks ago we had a great weekend in San Diego and took the kids to Sea World. The last time we had gone to Sea World Maddie was almost 3 and Carter was a baby. The kids loved the shows and have been talking about them ever since. The weather was cool and misty but it was much better than sitting in the hot sun! We had a great time!

Carter's last day of School

On Carter's last day of school his class had a party at the park. He has made some great friends, and had tons of fun. Here are some pictures of the party.

This little girl had a crush on Carter and told him she was going to marry him. He was flattered and would blush whenever we'd talk about it!

A quick trip to Utah

Over Memorial Day weekend we drove up to Utah for my cousin Kristin's wedding. We arrived Friday and spent the day with family and had to stop and eat at our favorite place "Cafe Rio". No visit to Utah would be complete without a visit to BYU.

Chris loves to stop at the Games center and shoot some hoops. Carter had fun collecting all of Daddy's tickets and playing some games himself.

Maddie was excited to get her very own Cougar at the BYU bookstore.

We took the kids to Temple Square and the visitors center

We also went to the Church history museum and Carter is here trying out one of the bunks that is modeled after one of the ships that the pioneers came over on.

At the Church History museum they had a fun exhibit in honor of the song "I am a Child of God" It was very cute and the kids really enjoyed the fun things they had to play with.

After a fun day in Salt Lake we went to Kristen's wedding. I didn't get any good pictures, but we had a great time and it was very nice to be there and see so many cousins and Aunt and Uncles.

The Graduate

Our city puts on an amazing preschool graduation when the kids finish preschool. I'll admit it is a bit over the top but its pretty fun to be part of. It was held at the Quakes stadium (our minor league baseball team) and there were 300 kids that graduated. Carter of course was the cutest of all! We are so proud of him and can't believe how fast he has grown up! He is so ready for kindergarten in August, he can't wait!

Maddie's Open House

Maddie had her open house at school a few weeks ago. She was very excited to show us her classroom and all the things she'd been working on. She had her Earth Day robot at her desk and showed us her story that she'd written about it. After the classroom portion they had a chorus performance to show us the songs they'd been working on all year. They have a wonderful music teacher and he taught them all Broadway songs which Maddie just loved. She loves to belt out her voice so everyone can hear it. She has a tendency to hold her notes longer than necessary. When I asked her why she holds her notes so long she said, "How else would anyone hear me?" She definitely is our little performer and loves to sing!

Back to the blogging world

I've been absent from the blogging world for a little while and it's about time I catch up! Here are some pictures from a fun day at the fountains at Victoria Gardens. I just love how my boys love to get wet! I'm sure we will spend many more days here this Summer!
